Well had some help a couple years ago but I cannot remember what bulbs I got. i know I am running 3 blue + but I dont know a good daylight light. I like a tank on a bluer hint during daylight hours. I dont know what I should put in for my daylight bulbs. I run 3 blue+ what would you all recommend for the other 3 bulbs? I run a Nova extreme pro 6 bulb fixture on a 120 gallon 4 foot tank. I keep sps, lps, zoanthids and some clams. Any help would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

Best bulb combo ever was a 4 bulb setup
front to back:
UVL Superactinic
ATI blue plus
ATI aquablue special
GE 6500K daylight.

If you wanted to make it bluer, and use all 6 slots, maybe double the blue plus and aquablue special.

I'm using
IC twilight 460
IC actinic 420
IC midwater 12k
IC actinic
IC reef crest 10k
IC twilight

Do you guys have any pictures of your tanks with the lights on that I could see the differences?

I have alot of reds and purples and in my opinion this setup brings out the best. For me the too many blue + washes out the reds and oranges.

here is what I have come up with so far let me know what you all think. I am going tobe shopping at Reefgeek.com so let me know if I should get a different lighting scheme that is avaliable there.

I like a more bluer tank when the lights are on and at night a really blue for the florecents. If you have better suggestions it would be great. I am keeping clams, sps, softies, Lps and well anything really. I cannot remember what I ordered last time so input is welcome.

I'd use a combintion of the following:

-ATI Blue Plus (460nm Actinic)
-Giesemann Aquablue Plus (11K Days)
-KZ Figi Purple (420nm Purple)

Using those bulbs will give your tank a slightly blue appearence without sacrificing a ton of par. FWIW I don't recommend GE 6500k's as they are very yellow in color. HTH

could you post pictures of lyour tank so I can see what it looks like please?

yeah I did look at that it was really nice. I just thought I would see if he could post a picture of his tank so see what it looked like as well. By the way thanks for the great link.

I run a GE 6500k and it does have a yellow tint to it but it brightens up your tank and it isnt too yellow as stated above.JMO
