Hi everyone.

I really haven't sold too many corals online but have done lots of trades so I am experienced shipping wise. The thing is I really need to raise some money for my new tank so I started fragging things up the other day. I dread fragging so lot of my corals really needed to be trimmed anyway. I need help in two ways. I need help pricing the frag packs and ideas on whether national forums or ebay would be a better way to go. Another consideration is that I take horrible pictures so that may play a role as well. Thank you for your help. :)

Wow, those are impressive packs. The only issues I have run into selling packs is that if someone owns one of the items, they are unlikely to get the pack, so I would consider reducing the size of them if you can't find a buyer in a reasonable amount of time. As for pricing...I say FREE :)! (I honestly have no idea how to price that many Z&Ps)

I have no great advice other than you limit your potential buyers by having such a large frag pack. With that said, I would post it for sale on forums and ebay. You're bound to find someone that has the funds and desire for such a large pack. good luck.

You might want to consider breaking up the frag packs. You're looking at several hundred dollars retail for the zoa pack (~$80 for the Tubs alone).

Thanks guys. I would really rather sell it in packs because I don't want to have to buy more shipping containers and keep track of everything. Ahh well, I guess I can't have my cake and eat it too. I was thinking maybe $350 + shipping for the zoas, 200+ shipping for both the LPS and chalice packs?

Also would like to add that I have positive feedback here for trades and buying only...same as RC. On Ebay I've got 100% feedback but from buying only. Never sold a thing. lol

If I had the money I'd take them both in a heartbeat. That is a really good deal.

Probably a little inexpensive for the zoos, but you also want to move them. The LPS pack might be slightly expensive. If it's the purple with green center Leptastrea pruinosa a 1" frag can be had for $9.99 some places. That makes $190 for the other 3 pieces. I know the other 3 are "name" pieces and are worth it, but it might limit the number of people who'll be interested.

How about a pick and choose frag pack and mark off stuff as it is sold? I would love to grab some stuff in the next week or so but no way I can grab such a huge pack. I only have a 10g tank...lol

Gotcha. So maybe $450 for the zoas and $150 for the lps? I do want to move them. :) My poor DIY frag rags are groaning.

The problem with a pick and choose as I see it is that some will be left over. The good stuff gone, etc. Anyway, I placed 3 frags of zoas/palys on a large reef disc so with a pick and choose I'd have to basically refrag. Don't laugh but I arranged them on the disc so that the color complimented each other. Example, PPE, AOG and King midas on one plug. lol
