Right now I still don't have fusion. Should I update to fusion?? I am trying to get my phone to see my apex. It will see it on wifi but I cant connect when not on wifi. Thanks

Without fusion you need to port forward your router to get it to work off your home network. Best bet and easiest route is to just set up fusion.

I already have the port forward setup, and had it working with the s5 I had. I also had it working with another phone. The S5 died so I cant check the settings to get it right.

OK, awesome that you already port forwarded your router, now you just need to find the port you forwarded, so you can scan your network with a tool that ID's the open ports like: Advanced Port Scanner or Nmap.
Or just use Fusion... Fusion is a lot easier to work with. It worked instantly for me once I got an account set up..

I am not a computer expert by any measure, but I have to second the "Just use Fusion".

I have the bookmark saved on my phone, click on my browser, click on the bookmark, and boom, I'm in and programming.

Fusion lets you do almost everything with the Apex, and what it doesn't can be done from the controller. Fusion is easy to setup, takes a few minutes. It works on any phone, tablet, computer, or whatever that has a browser. Nothing to install. Dropped your phone down the toilet? Just borrow one and use the browser.

what is the host? port forward address??
wan host?? I think this is where im missing something maybe.
I have done this before but it has been 2 years or longer.
I really don't know what happened to my phone.
I can connect at home with no problems and port forward is set up already. This set up has a few more functions than the fusion.

OK got it. The host is your home IP address. The wan is your port forward IP. Works at home on wifi and on the network this way.
