Hello
I just received my reef radiance dm 132E. It is definitely a nice light. I am switching from the hood of my jbj nano 28 gallon intermediate and can tell I am in for a treat. I have a few questions I am hoping everyone on R2R can help with.
1) How can I tell if the lights are not running at full strength (not the dimmer, but the appropriate par/pur at full strength)? I know this sounds strange, but when my lights turned on today (Have had them for about 1 week) it seemed more blue/purple but I did not change the dimmers at all. I just want to make sure there was not a problem with the light. Is there a meter or something I can use to test the light?
2) What lights affect coral growth and coral coloration (not how they look under lights, but what lights actually affect the underlying color)?
3) Depending on the answer above, what is the recommendation on setting my lights? I want to make sure the corals are growing well and color is keeping nice, but don't want a windex affect.
Thanks for the advice everyone... I am sure my lights are amazing, I just need to learn to use them correctly and to test them.
