Help setting up plumbing for sump

So I recently got a 40 gallon sump and a Seapora 125-150 gallon dual overflow kit. I’m just wondering on helping with the piping that will fit onto my pump and my overflow bulk heads. They say they are 1” bulkheads and I think my pump is also 1 inch but all the pipes I’ve tried haven’t fit because they have come oversized. Just wondering what pipes you guys use or recommend

The overflow plumbing has nothing to do with your return pump. You plumb the return back into the tank not the overflow. Use some vinyl tubing that fits over the barb fitting on the pump exit.

I would take the bulk heads to the hardware store and find the correct size piping
