Help setting up tank!

Hey guys im intrested in buying a nano reef tank. Whats the most cheapest way i can build a nano tank? What are the requirments for nano reef tank? For example do i need a skimmer or not?

It really depends on what you want in it. I started out with a cheap 12 gallon aio, not really meant for saltwater (Eclipse, with filtration in the hood), modded the dickens out of it and it was a great little tank for 3 years or so. Many people say not to start out with such a small tank because your chemistry can go bad really quickly, but it was economical for me and a good way to learn my way around the hobby without breaking the bank. A couple of small fish and some easy corals.
