I've had this frog spawn frag for about 2 months now and 1 head died about 3 weeks ago now I have a second head dying. I have seen brown jelly before and this dosent look like that .I don't know what it could be? All other corals are fine no signs of distress but I don't want it to spread to other corals so I don't know if I should remove the coral I do not have a qt. Thank you for your help.
My parameters are:
Alk = 10.6
Ammonia = 0
Calcium = 350
Nitrate = 4
Nitrite = 0
Ph = 8.2
Phosphate = .08
Salinity = 1.026
Magnesium = 1350

How high up in the tank do you have it and how much flow? Generally frog spawn, and all other euphyllia coral, like low light and low flow. Phosphate is pretty high along with alk being up there and calcium being low.

It's was on the middle of the tank. I moved it towards the bottom about a week ago The map 40 I have on that side of the tank is set to the lowest possible setting and it was not in direct flow from the power head. My nitrate just went up to 5 last week it's normally around 3 and the phosphates are usually around 0.04 I did notice the calcium was low I have to adjust my dos. Thank you for trying to help.

Can anyone try to give me some insight on what could be wrong or should I remove the coral so I don't lose any more then the on frag?

Yes I'm at work right now when I get home I'll take a screen shot of the light schedule

I would cut the healthy head off and dip it.

Not sure what went wrong there to make that happen.

If that’s a slimy goo on the last head , I think I might toss it too.
You could dip in a cleanse like coral RX, Iodine , or revive and try to save it.

This is the lighting schedule. If you or anyone has a better profile I would really appreciate it.

Thank you salty I have dipped it in coral Rx when I saw the second head dying . The last remaining head appears to be receding I think it’s a loss. I just don’t understand what went wrong everything else is fine. If I did something wrong I just don’t want to repeat the mistake.

Yup. Weird. I’ve not seen that from too much light. But I suppose it’s possible.

@crabs_mcjones ever seen that?
The blues are pretty high , but I don’t know the light well.

I agree the blues are pretty high. Just saw the schedule you're running and that may have been to much for the Lps coral. Do you have access to a par meter or a lux meter?

If hydra 26 that’s lot of light wow...I run 26-40-60-55-0-0-3 on E260 and tank is 80-100 par on sand. I’d venture a guess your 200+ par on sand or more.

I ran numbers for a fella once running 20-90-90-90-20-20-35 and on sand hydra 26’s were 160-185 so......

Thank you guys for your help I really appreciate it. It's hard getting into a new hobby and not know where to start for help. I'm sorry I don't have a par meter at the moment. I do need to get one also sorry I responded so late I didn't get the notification that you had replied. I think the best corse of action is to toss the frag to save everything else.
