Earlier this week I noticed my healthy hammer coral had bits gone from the side of its skeleton. More goes missing each day. The coral itself is still unphased but I'm obviously concerned!

My tank parameters are good - especially calcium. The only thing I noticed was a hermit crab on the skeleton. Other inverts and fish haven't touched it as far as I've seen.

What is happening to my poor hammer and can I fix it?
