HELP, Small leak in fitting. How could I fix it short term?

We received our 190.5 and it is beautiful. There is however one small problem. There is a small leak in fitting L3 (outlet assembly sump side). The leak is in the seam where the barb connector for the return line is. See attached photos, the water drop is at the location of the leak. The leak is not at the fitting above or the hose but in the fitting itself.

I contacted Waterbox for a replacement part but we are getting a live rock shipment soon and I would like to attempt a repair in the mean time.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions. I was considering silicone.

You might be able to cut a piece of rubber (like a piece of hose) wrap it around the area and then get a hose clamp ontop of the piece and tighten it down.

Silicone wont stick when wet. Use a cures in water sealant like super glue gel, apply then wrap in tape to keep it in place while it cures.

Cut the wrist off a rubber glove, wrap the fitting with it tight as you can manage, and clamp.

This ↑ ↑↑ The leak is between the black hose barb fitting the the bulkhead fitting. ANything you do needs to be removable or temporary otherwise you'll have potential issues removing the fittings in the future.

If the manufacturer is sending you a new part, there will be some disassembly required, so it is better that you not move forward with the next step until you correct this.

When dealing with threaded PVC, you can use Vaseline on the threads. This will create enough of a seal to stop the drip. It will also allow for easy disassembly when the new part comes in.

\Yes, it was a pinhole leak in the fitting itself at the injection molding seam. Waterbox sent the new part and all is well.
