Oh, that doesn't look good. I don't know anything about treating rays... maybe the #mods can move this to the fish disease forum for more views?

@Humblefish @melypr1985 either of you familiar with sores on rays?

And it looks like when he is breathing it goes in and out of the sore : (

It's probably an issue with substrate and or flukes.

Did he have these sores when you got him? Those almost look like chunks taken out of him.

No looked healthy when purchased, I had a frag rack with 90 degree corners and I took it out i don't know if that could have done it to him? I hope not I feel bad already for him.

You said he's 4 inches? He looks huge in that picture. What size tank is he in? Is there open sand bed for him to roam without hitting rocks? Is he eating? If yes, what are you feeding him?

Zoomed in, he's in a 100gallon with 1 rock in the center, he won't eat today, now pieces of silver side or fresh water mysis

Reef fishes have sometimes been known to pick at rays' skin. Have you seen any signs of that sort of behaviour?

Melafix might help in this case, but also watch for any bacterial infection.

@alprazo is the best I know when it comes to sharks/rays, but I'm not sure how active he is on the forums anymore.

Might be worth a shot to PM him either on here or on RC.
