How long have you had the coral? How long since it's been healthy? Is the patch spreading?

Could be many things. Black band disease or some other infection, if it's indeed an infection. Often many different causative microorganisms

If had it for about 3 weeks I would say I’m not sure how long it’s been like this or if it’s spreading because it was turned away on the rock so I could only see the healthy front

How old is the tank paramteres lighting???
Tank is 1 year roughly, parameters being 8.3 alkalinity 450 calcium and 1350 magnesium. 1.6 nitrate and 0.02 phosphate both checked with hannas. 112 gallon 4 ft tank with 3 ai hydra 32s

first is to get it off the sand and elevate into the path of medium light and water flow
Assure: salinity. alk, Ca and temperature is Not elevated.

The coral was not in the sand to begin with it was at the stop of the tank right in the middle. I removed it from the frag plug yesterday because I saw an aptasia on the plug and that’s when I saw the issues. Then I put it on the sand to take a picture. Nothing is elevated based on my apex trident and Red Sea test kits and hannas

Careful with trident. 4 different tests indicate my calcium is 424-431. My trident says 812. I just ordered calibration fluid for trident as this is bizarre. BTW, I see growth tips as overall it does not look bad

yea i calibrated my trident after 2 weeks and the results are identical to my red sea and salifert kits except alk which is .5 off

Parameters look ok. Corals look ok xcpt this one. Nitrates low. Idk what par ur pushing but Mayb frag whats good
And place it lower to see how it goes. Had sps grow great and then crap out. Part of the hobby as long as system is stable and other corals look good.

This tank is been up for a year? Did you replace all the rock? Even the glue looks new?

Frag in the left is not healthy as well
