I just received this maricultured Tenuis colony and it seemed to have tissue necrosis on some portions of its encrusting base and the lower sections of the branches.
Im going to give it a week to heal from the stress of shipment.
The polyps are still, somewhat, intact but the overall colony has lost its vibrance especially the blue-colored tissue in its tips.

Should I frag what’s salvageable or should I let the whole colony stabilize for the week?

ULNS parameters:
salinity:1.026
pH:8.3
alk: 7.0
nitrates:5ppm
phosphates: 0.02ppm
Calcium: 460

Slowly bump your Alk to about 8-9 based on your Ca levels and let it ride.

I let it fall from 8.2 (what I normally keep it at) to 7 since I’m calculating the daily intake of alk since I’m still waiting to buy myself a used trident!
But after today I’m going to gradually increase the alk ever so slowly back to 8.2.
Any recommendations on what to do about the colony?

What to do about the colony, monitor and let it ride.

Your phosphate is extremely low. Have you been able to successfully grow SPS with that level?

I read on here somewhere that Iodine can help with STN from the base. I can't find the thread now. I regularly dose some Iodine (actually dose Iodide) in my tank. Something to consider.

Your PO levels are fine for SPS's. 0.03 is ideal but I'm confident that there is a certain amount of user error in conducting the tests and fluctuations throughout the day. Again, hold the course and monitor. If the recession continues then take measures such a dipping and fragging. More often than not, the more we fiddle with a new coral trying to settle in the more damage we end up doing. Don't react to your corals, respond to them.

This may be completely unrelated, but what are your thoughts on grafted acros? Are they worth the hype/price tag?
I have no real opinion. I do think they are neat, but to actually get them to become one colony sharing the color morphs to create a new color morph is difficult. With that said, the amount of work to find colonies that will work together might very well justify the price. It really is a subjective thing.

Ahh I see. I found a 3/4” grafted millie frag for sale and was hoping to grow it out, but I’m not sure if anyone would buy frags of it after I grow it out hahahah
