I'm at the stocking stage for my 50g cube. The tank dimensions are 24x24x20. It will be SPS dominant with a few clams. Im looking for active fish that are not aggressive. I'm going to be transferring 3 fish from my current tank so new fish must be compatible with a Blotched Anthias and two Clownfish. I know my tank is a little small for the Anthias, but hes been with me for 3 years and I have no intentions on getting rid of him. We all upgrade one day right? I want active fish because my one year old son loves to watch fish swim and it wont do me any good for the fish to be in hiding all the time. I was thinking maybe a couple flasher wrasse? Again i'm looking for active fish. Colorful would be a plus but not absolutely a requirement. Any recommendation and or pictures would be greatly appreciated!

Any fang blenny. Active throughout the water column. Brazen - as in curious and not bothered much by human activity near the tank. Get along great with most fish (except possibly other fang blennies). And about as reef safe as you can get (with possible exception of small, ornamental shrimp such as sexy shrimp).

At 24" square, I'm not certain you've got quite enough room for flasher wrasse - those guys like to move.

Midas blenny - pleasingly yellow, usually up in the water column with a sinuous motion that makes it my baby granddaughter's favorite fish to watch.

Azure damselfish, bright, primary blue and yellow with perky movements, and not nearly as cranky as something like a domino - or even a blue devil.

Royal Gramma - brilliantly yellow and purple, they'll generally hover _near_ the rockwork - and sometimes upside-down.

Just me but I wouldn't touch a Damsel of any kind. @The OP, have you looked into a flasher wrasse? They are very bright and colorful and are only a danger to other flasher wrasses. Not sure if they are too close in color and shape to your anthias though.

Is the tank covered or open? Flasher wrasses are notorious jumpers, especially in smaller tanks.

I love a group of azure damsel. They defend their territory, but nothing too vigorous.

A royal gramma is very brightly colored.

I love flame and longnose hawks, but they are also jumpers.
