Okay, I have a 75 gallon reef tank that I'm wanting to get more livestock for and I have NO IDEA what to get! So, I thought I would see what everyone recommends.

Current livestock....
2 black snowflake clowns
2 firefish
1 McCoskers flasher wrasse
1 banggai cardinal
1 lawnmower blenny
1 skunk cleaner shrimp
1 anemone shrimp

One of my favorite fish is my lineatus wrasse. So beautiful and is very peaceful and reef safe. A lot of people would say you could do some tangs for the ctenochaetus genus (ie kole and tomini). I also am a big fan of fox faces and believe since they are a bit less active than tangs, a smaller one, such as a one spot would be content in a 4 foot tank. Another option is a dwarf angel, they can be reef safe but when they aren’t typically they only go for fleshy LPS but not always. Fairy and halichoeres wrasses are also a great choice. Probably among my favorite marine fish for medium sized tanks. Great color, movement and personality, and while some can be very pricey, there are also very beautiful ones in the $30-70 range.

Thanks, I had my kole tang in my 75 but he gets to swimming so fast that it seems that he didn't have enough room so I put him in our 180 gallon (he's happier now). I also evicted both of my dwarf angels to the 180 because they ate my zenia coral! I do like the fox face but they get too big.

I was thinking about getting some more wrasses, but am nervous that they will fight with my current wrasse. I have also heard that a yellow coris wrasse would be good.

The wrasses should be fine, they are quite peaceful for the most part. I would just avoid adding the same species if you’re worried, although you should have no problems. You’d be fine mixing in a leopard wrasse, another flasher, fairy, or a halichoeres (melanurus, christmas, radiant wrasse, etc). The yellow “coris” wrasse also falls under this category as they are not true coris wrasses. Actual coris wrasses get more like 1-2 feet long depending on the species!

Awesome thanks!

Longnose Hawkfish or Chalk Basslet maybe?

Longnose and flame hawks are among my favorites, but an anemone shrimp may be on the menu.

I've had chalk bass get predatory when they were full grown.

The yellow coris, H. chrysus, is an excellent choice.

Purple tilefish are fascinating.

Yea, we have a hawkish in the 180 with no shrimp lol
Will a tilefish get along with firefish? Our tail spot went after them (I guess because they have a similar body shape) so he got evicted.

heres my list:
Royal gramma
Diamond watchman goby & pistol shrimp
Green chromis: 3-5
