Hello everyone! I’ve been contemplating what other fish to get for my tank. I have a 6 foot 125gallon reef tank. With lots of rock work and a 3”-4” sandbed. I have no problems with nutrients at the moment.

Current fish stock:

Foxface
Yellow tang
Blue Tang
Tomoni Tang
6 Blue/Green chromis
Orchid Dottyback
Six line Wrasse
Malanurus Wrasse
Orange Spotted Goby/Shrimp Pair
2 Clownfish
Green Mandarin

I’m wanting to get some more smaller more active fish, don’t know about wrasses if I have to many but would like a cleaner Wrasse. Let me know what your thoughts and recommendations would be!

The six line wrasse has an evil reputation. I would suggest one of the hardy species of flasher or fairy wrasses..... great fish.

Mandarins tend to eat only small live food. If you have any population of competitors for that kind of food, they can easily starve. You are butting in a bunch of chromis and they will compete. I have heard of mandarins accepting non living food. But it is a gamble.

I dont know how many pod eating fish I could house in my size of a tank, I have two wrasses and the mandarin in there, I have about 150lbs of rock and a large 18"x18" fuge that every few months a put pods in. I would really like smaller fish that are active.

Sixlines don't mix with mandarins. Both want pods, but sixlines will behave aggressively to the mandarin.

Chromis eat from the water column, so don't compete with mandarins for food.
