Hello I have a 20 gallon long that I had to move the cables around cuz my basement flooded because of the weather and such I put the surge protector with the filter and heater plugged into it in a round trash can lid. Well I was putting water in the tank and my dumb self forgot about it and it overflowed right to the lid and filled it with water I went down there all power was off I unplugged it and got the power back on I know I'm not using that surge any more but should the filter and heater plug ins be ok if I dry them out. Thank you for any help.

Was it just water or was it salt water? Just let them dry out and you should be fine. If it was salt water the plugs will likely start to corrode.

it was salt water that started to overflow. so looks like ill have to replace them before to long. thank you for the reply

Unplug them, rinse with fresh water and give them a good wipe off. I use an air compressor to blow dry them. Do not force water through the plug area as some of the plugs are not water tight. Let them dry off by hanging prongs down. Use as normal.

Get rid of it. Salt crystalizes and will cause many issues. Not worth the smoking, sizzling that will happen and even a breaker going out while you are not home.
The replacement cost is low enough to even consider using it
