Sounds like a good plan and as stated by Pete a great time to blow/rinse off a lot of the detritus within the old LR. You can use a clean toothbrush and a powerhead in a bucket of old water to accomplish this.

Cheers, Todd

Yeah I hope everything comes out good.. Here's how it looks now..

Yeah I've been having a hard time thinking of how to aquascape. Lol

Yep the sad part of it is when u think u r done and have it all set up and everything in it u look at it and go man I should have done this or that lol

You can use jb weld water weld epoxy to attach rocks to eachother. It will cure underwater. I see a potential for a great scape with the size of rocks you have. You can build bridges, caves, tunnels, shelves and all sorts of stuff.

Yes... You finally just get to the oh well point haha. I absolutely hate to scape but its always been something I have to mess with for months and months. I'm looking at my 40 right now and plan on getting my arm wet after the fish are through eating. My 29 is full of caves and tunnels that pictures just don't show.

That's the one. Its like $4 at home depot. It will set under water with no problems. The trick to mixing it without getting it to stick to your hands is to get it wet, and knead it until it starts to get sticky and wet it again. It doesn't really stick to the rock and it won't really hold it together until its cured. When it cures its solid, I promise. It may take a couple applications to get the rocks to hold together good also. That arch took 2 applications on each joint. I tore that arch up and re scaped lol. I like this better

Here we are.. After 2 weeks or so I finally got my sand and went with about 3 to 3.5 deep.. Rescaped two times and this is what it looks like now.. Also I added a Lawnmower Benny to help with some Algae that broke out after I got a mini cycle. I followed a lot of advise given to me on this thread and everything is going amazing.
