They were offering the discount to pre-orders of the new model then. With increasing freight costs on containers from china, and inflation in general (treasury just printing money hand over fist for a decade now and the FED artificially keep interest rates at all time lows also for over a decade now), i bet the price of this and other large things will increase more, perhaps shockingly so.

once tank gets here, for sure! it's a looooong wait. I already have rocks cycling in a tote, my lights bought, etc. Just waiting for tank and sump and plumbing.
That northwest detritus ale sounds like an acquired taste. Not for the faint of heart. I brew too, but not enough to justify anything close to a botteling line.I waa thinking instead of UV, i'd run a flash pasteurizer. Tank water in at 78F, instantly 180F for 20 seconds, then back into the tank at 78F
