Help to adjust air intake protein skimmer

Dear friends i own an instant ocean skimmer. My problem is that I don't know how to adjust the knob of the air intake of my protein skimmer. Can you please help me with this problem? Thank you.

I am not familiar with that skimmer but this is how I do it on most of my skimmers. I would use a regular single valve on the air intake line and adjust that. You can buy then at most lfs and walmarts.

I have that valve but I don't know how to adjust it!

Top piece should turn but that is not the valve I was thinking of. If you cant get that to work you can get these at walmart very cheap or something similar http://www.walmart.com/ip/3-Pcs-Fish-Tank-Aquarium-Air-Pump-Flow-Control-Valve/47615785

I think that your not understanding me or I am not explaining my problem well. The problem that is that I don't know how to adjust the air to the pump of the Aquarium System protein skimmer to get the best results of skimming in the collection cup.
