I’m brand new to aquariums but like many of you have been interested and wanted to get one for a very long time. I’ve finally decided to pull the plug and go forward with getting one plus i got the wife’s approval. I have a small corner, about 26 inches, where I can fit a tank so I figured a cube shape would be ideal so i can still get a decent amount of gallons (attached photo of corner so you get an idea). I’m not looking to spend a fortune (ideally less than $1k) but don’t want to cheap out either. I’d rather get decent quality stuff the first time so I don’t have to keep buying things.

There are 3 tanks I’m looking at and could really use your advice if you’ve had experience with any of them. Also any suggestions on accessories to go with tank (sump, lighting, protein skimmers, etc). Just to show how new I am to aquariums all those terms I just used in parenthesis I learned within the last 48 hours.

1. Biocube 32g
2. Deep Blue Professional 35g
3. Innovative Marine Fusion Mini 40

Just throwing this out there... but what about a 60g? 2' x 2' x 2'. A lot more water volume for more fish/options.

60 cube is perfect cube my friend, i got a 40 cubish IM40, till this day i should have started with a 60 , lol my next and perm upgrade will probably be 60 ,

+1 with @Reefpuck. Get the biggest you can fit in the space and budget. Just remember that equipment costs add up quickly so sometimes an all-in-one can fit the bill.

Surfing the classifieds and other outlets for used will also help stay in budget.

Forgive my manners.

Welcome to R2R!! Glad to have you here.
