help to identify this critter please

need help identifying this thing growing out of a tube? Plus is it bad/good

How long has that been in that spot? It looks like a nudibranch, but if it's been there a long time, it's not.

been there a month or so but has moved from the other side of the rock? Should I kill it?

Can you remove it to a container with water and take a picture?

It almost looks like a type of basket star.

Has it caused any harm to anything? If its not dangerous, I wouldn't kill it. A better photo would help ID.

If it's a nudibranch, it needs to come out.
