Hello.I have on my new (future) seahorse tank teeny white specks on the glass that seem to have tiny arms (legs.. whatever). They are very small. Like a pin dot. I assume they are some form of copopods, but want to make sure. The tank is 37 g. tall,w/ live sand live rock, sump w/ live rock, overflow etc. also2 feather dusters, and 3 gorgonians(stick)...

Thanks !!!! Debbie

Sounds like hydroids. They will usually go away on their own as the tank cycles.

Well my tank has been up n running for around three months, i have the same problem and they seem to keep multiplyin... what should i do

I thinkmy tank should be cycled for the most part by now. I don't expecttoget a rise in the nitrite or nitrate being that I used live sand and rock.. so I hope they go away, and dont become a problem

If you're over feeding, they will multiply quickly. What you're seeing is the nauplii form- they are babies basically. They are really soft and easy to suction off of the glass.

ok i will try that. I haven't been feeding all that much since the only thing in the tank is snails.Just enough to make sure the tank is cycling. Thanks for the help.It is much appreciated.
