Help! Toadstool Leather losing tissue...

Yeah if you’ve been doing it then it’s fine. Just something to think about because people add gfo after having a algae outbreak or something and then it can have those affects. Going from high phosphates down to almost 0 will cause Corals to close up. That’s why I brought it up.
I been running GFO for a couple years and never had an issue ‍;Spiderman
 
Update: It has been almost a week since my first post and, with the lesion growing considerably larger, I decided to make a cut. I used my handy BRS scissors to make a nice, clean cut about 1/4” beyond the affected tissue. I followed that up with a water change. The leather didn’t spit out as much mucus as I figured it would. It actually seems happier now. I’ll post another update in a few days. Thanks again for the advice!
