Help Toadstool leather shedding tons of mucus

I have had my huge toadstool leather for about 2 months now. I have done research and I know that it sheds mucus from time to time. It has been doing this for 7 days now and I still think it is just shedding mucus but it looks so bad and is shedding a ton. M

Don’t worry, it’s going through a shed. Give it a little more flow and it will be back to normal in a couple days. Totally normal

Looks like it needs more water flow. With inadequate flow, it will film over and emit mucus. Even gentle bursts with a turkey baster will perk it up

Thank you, I just calibrated my 2 power heads from 50 to 70 percent and if that doesn’t help it I will do use the turkey badger tomorrow. Thanks so much!

Not a problem and direct one of the powerheads towards (not at) the toadstool.

Honestly, that toadstool looks sick. I mean it's hard to tell from a photo, but drooped over like that with all those folds in the stalk, I wonder if that mucus you are seeing is decomposing flesh.

It did end up dying. Not sure why as my other corals are thriving. I did have that as one of my first corals and I did recently change lights so I wonder if it was just very different par or what for the problem was.

seeing how skinny those xenia is, I wonder if the lighting is a bit too dim? I know my xenia look that way when they are growing under shaded areas.

I have wondered that as well. My whites are pretty low so I may up my lights by a few percent and see if that helps. Just don’t want a ton of algae haha thanks for the good info
