Hello everyone, in the past few days, I have noticed one of my teaches in my 250 has some recession on one side and am not sure what to do. A year or two ago I experienced the same thing with another wellso that slowly receded to its death. I hated watching that happen as it was my all time favorite coral( ome of the first too). The trachy in the 250 is under Radions and t5s and has been in the tank since April. He's been healthy up until recently. It's also placed on the sand with medium water movement. There are 3 other tranches in the tame, and all are all puffed up and looking healthy.
My recent water test has yeilded results
Calcium 475
Alkalinity 7.5-7.7 A little low, I try to keep it around 8
Mag 1550-1600
Not sure if there is a correlation, but I have noticed that in both instances, the magnesium has been around 1600 ppm.
So now I ask, what do you think I should do?
Dip in iodine to help slow the recession of tissue amd try to lower magnesium through water changes? Thanks everyone
