Hey guys! I recently got a black sailfin blenny which has completed TTM and QT and moved into the DT. It quarantine it used to nibble occasionally at pellets but didn’t eat much. It hid most of the time. In the fish shop I watched it eat marine mix food. In the DT now it is stopped hiding and eating off the glass non stop. It’s almost always eating. I’ve tried feeding 5-6 different foods, I’ve tried garlic soaking it, I’ve tried sinking pellets and as of yesterday I’m trying attaching different coloured nori to clips and leaving them around where it feeds in the hopes he or she may try to nibble on them. The fish has been in the DT for about 4 days now.
Will it survive on micro algae alone? It’s a small fish, 100 gallon tank. I’ve attached a picture of it feeding voraciously. Any tips to get it feeding? I’m unsure if micro algae alone is sufficient for it? I do have plenty I don’t think he will ever be able to finish all of it, my tank is a bit dirty and so it always grows back the day after he eats it.

if I can ever get it away from the glass. Any benefit in cleaning all the micro algae off? Or should I leave it for it to eat? You can probably see all the mouth marks. I mean it’s gonna fat since it started eating all this algae so maybe that’s good. Do you think long term it will have to learn to eat prepared food?
