Help Tuning Reef Octopus Ext Protein Skimmer

I have been using Reef Octopus Regal 300 Ext Skimmer for over 2 years. I recently took the pump out to clean out some stucked baby snails. Now i can't get it to skim like it used to. Just bubbling at the top like boiling water. Any ideas or recommendations? The user manual really doesn't give any instructions on how to fine tune this baby

It sounds like you cleaned it really well. You may need to treat it like it’s a brand new skimmer. It should be broken in again within a week or two.
