I have bad luck with these ATO systems this is my second one first one was reefbreeders $100 one now I bought the tunze ATO system and I’m having a hard time getting it to not dump my whole 5 gallons of RODI water into my tank in one day.

The only issue is that the end of the tubing is still below the top of the ATO container which is exactly what leads to a siphoning issue.
Okay so run it to the top of the tank and I shouldn’t have a problem? Also why won’t it push water through the black hose it came with?

Really not sure on this one. I would start by blowing through the hose to make sure there is no obstruction. There should be no issue blowing through the hose as long as the pump is primed.

Yeah I can physically blow water through but not the pump, lol idk?? , faulty hose I guess not sure. But the line I have now should be no problem as long as I run it to the top of the tank.

Yes, I agreed with Montiman! I had my tube over the opening in the back (which was high than the Reservoir head and still had siphon).
Your is much lower and the larger tube isn't help to stop the siphon)
Here is a picture of my setup, I run the tube way up then back down to the sump. I did not want to have it into the display because I was worried about reserve-siphon.

Hopefully that will fix your issue!
I had similar problems as well since my S400 doesn't have any good opening for the water line and I could not figure out how to securely attach it to the top. So I ran it back down the sump and it worked perfectly since.

With the pump submerged in the ATO reservoir, turn it upside down a couple of times. This will get the air out of the pump and prime it. Every time you remove the pump from the water, there's a chance you'll need to do this step.

I know there are more issues than just the pump, but hopefully this will help solve that problem and you can use the regular tubing. (Unless there's a hole in the tube -aside from the ones at each end...;) )

You can run it to the top... But... Do not have the end into any water. Needs to be above so no syphone occurs.
On mine I had a check valve. Worked great until the valve failed and dripped water into the sump until it alarmed. Glad I was home.
What I do now is have the hose feed up and into a pvc pipe. No water contact at the end and it's high enough so no syphone from my 32 gallon brute.

Having the end out of the water will only prevent a siphon of sump water back into the ATO reservoir... I believe the OP has the opposite situation

Doesn't matter, you don't want back syphoning if it's in the tank. You don't want syphoning if it is in the sump. And if the pump is in water and the end is below the water line of the Reservoir it will cause syphoning.
