ok I bought a used 125 Aqueon reef tank with complete setup. I am taking my time to reconstruct, clean, and make mods that I want. Here is my question I just noticed the durso pipe has some drilled holes right at where it bends at top. Is this right? If I look at it then water would drain thought the holes and not come up wher the cage is. Attached is picture. Also the two returns under neath use 3/4 inch. The returns drain down where cionnected to 1 inch flexible tubes. So questioning flow rate

Stock marineland Durso is very similar. The holes help pull water through the cage. The air port at the top allows air to enter with the water, this keeps the Durso from "toilet flushing".

3/4 return line into the tank sounds about right. 1" tubing is okay, you could up that size to 1 1/4", but may make little difference in flow.

Welcome to R2R!

Thank you so much! So I will keep same without mods. Save me time there. Thanks again

Thanks for the welcome also. Probably see me often. But will be taking this very slow. I am cooking a bunch of rock right now and reinforcing stand and staining
