Help using Fluconazole for Algae - Reef Flux 200mg pills

Would love some advice on how to truly use this correctly. Have read a few different takes.

200mg/10 gallons (20mg/gal). I fill a 1 liter jug with tank water and mix all the powder in the thoroughly then dump in return section. You are supposed to turn off skimmer and carbon. I just dosed last week with skimmer on entire time because I am also carbon dosing and dosing vibrant, bryopsis was dead in 7 days, showed distress in two (turning white).

Thats it very simple. It will be removed with water changes and skimming over time.
