Can anyone possibly explain why Chaeto immediately breaks apart when placed into the sump?

Where is the chaeto going? What is the light and flow like in the area? Do you supplement with iron manganese or other micronutrients?

Placing in the fuge section. Fuge has moderate flow, have been dosing Chaetogro. Lighting is Kessil H160 Tuna Flora.

It is possible it could be bleaching out under the light. What does the chaeto look like when it breaks apart?

It's green in color and immediately breaks apart into strands and flows throughout the sump and display tank.

Sounds like too much flow. Put the chaeto in a loose mesh bag?

If it is "crispy" it may be under too intense of a light. At least this is what algae barn told me
