Help, weird stuff on stylo, killing it in 1 day

I noticed yesterday a weird slimy substance growing on my stylo. In 1 day part of it turned completely white. All flesh gone.

I checked under microscope but can't find what these are. They are long and move fast. Doesn't look like dino's, diatoms, or cyano.

Today half my stylo is gone.

Anyone know what these are?

RTN. Theory is that a bacterial infection sets in and those microscopic parasites you see set in and eat the weakened flesh.

philaster parasites.

There are many theory's on treatment, none have been proven out to be full proof.

If you can, frag the colony above the dead tissue and discard the dead/dieing tissue.

Can be infected or alk or calcium high or too Low.
They do well under non-bright lights heavy in blue under moderate water flow

Its definitely not from alk. My alk is stable.

I literally watched over 2 days a slime build and the coral die with confirmation under microscope.

Definitely phillaster parasite or equal to it.

OH - I meant whats in the picture you showed - might be philaster lucinda. However - the cause - is likely bacterial - and you cant see it. I would frag off the damaged part with a wide margin - and go from there.
