Help what are these!!!

Help I have head all over the underside of my rock and wave makers. Little white things. Found them (2) in my zoas today picked them out. Please help! Scared it might be bad

Pineapple sponges. They're fine. I remove mine with water changes, if they grow where I don't want them.

How can I get them out? They won't hurt my corals?

Is it usual for them to be all over the place I have a ton of them

All over bottom of rocks. And they got into my zoas? Is that usual too? Is there any cause for them

I had a bunch a few times. Ya just gotta get in there and clean them out. Is your tank newish?

It's about 5-6 months old

I wouldn't worry about it. Your tank just has extra nutrients for them to filter right now. Sometimes they can definitely climb in numbers and the only thing to really do is manually remove them and pick up the tank maintenance a bit... like removing detritus and water changes.

I would leave them alone. Sponges are normally a good thing to have in your tank, they will help filter the water and uptake silicates.

+1 to Larry. They are good filter feeders and will naturally die off when they don't get enough nutrients
