Help... What is growing on my Bengaii Cardinal???

I just returned home after 115 some odd days away at work and find my Bengaii with this growing on both of his sides in the exact same position, under the pectoral fins. I have a tank set up for him for whatever treatment is necessary but I cannot catch the little bugger!! He acts totally normal, super appetite, etc. just how you would want a fish to act like. All other tank inhabitants are fine, nothing has been added to tank for almost 4 months..... How long has he been like this??? Good question, no answer! Certainly annoys me to no end but wife is not sure.... so I gotta live with that answer and it’s to only one I can offer to any potential helpers in identifying this.

Looks lose around the Gill plate. At first I thought maybe bad isopod. Not sure now.

Yeah, they are definitely loose kind of like a growth hanging off of his body there they don’t look like they protrude into the guild area as they look like they are more under the pectoral fin and below it I do notice a slight slight little orange pink color like the color of that growth on the side of his body right at the narrowest part going to his tail. But as I say everything else is normal I definitely have to get them out of that tank and he’s making it really tough on me.

Probably Lymphocystis. It's color can vary from white to beige.

Symptoms - Lymphocystis appears as a white or beige colored cauliflower-like growth that usually starts on the fins and spines and sometimes spreads to the body. Initially it may be small (looks like ich), and then grows in size (which is how you know it’s not ich). Lympho is a virus that many fish carry for life. Fortunately, it is rarely fatal or even harmful to the fish, and symptoms will come and go.

Treatment options - No known cure or treatment exists. However, feeding vitamin-enriched foods and maintaining pristine water conditions may expedite the “going away” process.
