Looks like ich. You will need to pull all fish in that tank. Then quarantine all fish in copper in a separate tank. The infected tank will need to be fallow for , i think at least 45 days

This is something this fish is susceptible to and are mucus cones and often stem from skin irritations and often mixed in with ich. Often you will see that other occupants show no signs but do keep an eye on them and be prepared to treat accordingly. Best course of treatment is in a separate tank using coppersafe for a FULL 30 days (do not interrupt this 30 day period) monitored by a reliable Copper Test kit such as Hanna Brand- No API brand. Also monitor Ammonia levels while in quarantine with a reliable test kit and add aeration during treatment using an air stone.
If others show signs, the display tank will have to be kept fishless (FALLOW) for 6-8 weeks to assure the existing parasites go through their life cycle without a host fish and die off and with occupants exposed, they too should go into quarantine

Thank you so very much for this. I have lost 2 clowns in 2 days but I did not detect the signs in those 2.

Thank you so very much for the information. I mentioned to RedReefer that I had 2 clowns die in two days but I didn’t detect the symptoms. Should I pull all of them or can I treat the tank somehow.

Without pics or video, will be hard to assess

Do i need to quarantine any of the clean up crew? will a tank with just aeration suffice for the 30 days? What should my target be with the copper test? thank you in advance

If you have to treat, do so in separate tank and inverts and coral can remain in display tank

I would take all fish and immediately treat all of them with copper for 30 days - leaving your tank fallow for 6-8 weeks. If you have not treated them with prazipro, I would do that after the copper. You've had 2 deaths - possibly unrelated - and a clear case of Ich.

I agree, the tang looks like it has marine ich. However, the two clowns dying without showing white spots first doesn't line up with that diagnosis - or there are multiple issues going on.

A clear video and a full history of the tank is really needed here. This post explains all that:

Since you've already seen some fish loss, you'll need to move very fast on this!
