Help! What is this on my favites?

This morning, woke up to blue-ish/white stuff on my favites. Looks a little fluffy... and appeared suddenly, like within hours. What happened? What do I need to do?

I’m guessing it was stung by that hammers sweepers at night.

This has been in the tank for 4 months.

I know it looks like the favites and the hammer are close in the picture, but they are on separate rocks. The favites is about 7 inches behind and 3 inches above the hammer. I haven’t seen the hammer reach that far, but I can move the hammer forward a bit more. It’s worth a try.

Hello Hemmdog! Thank you for your assistance when something was going on with my favites. I moved the hammer further away and the favites is growing and encrusting the rock it is perched on. Looks like you might have saved my coral! Thanks!
