HELP! What is this white stuff?

What is this white stuff on the inside of my tanks glass? I had something similar come up a few weeks ago and it actually killed everything in my tank, i had to bleach my tank and re run 4 different times to completely restart. Now have my livestock back up and this popped up over night. Anyone know what it is and how to get rid of it?

I have no idea. Maybe some kind of bacteria bloom?

Hard to say. If it’s white on the glass, Could be precipitation or a bacterial bloom.

How long have you had aquarium running? If it’s new you’ll see a lot of different growth. Don’t freak out let it ride and enjoy watching the aquarium take off. I was always worried about the growth I saw. in this hobby yo must learn to control the stress or it will drive you mad.

just make sure your not spraying any kind of aerosol canister or cleaner like fra-breeze in the same room especially if you have a open top on your tank. I noticed one day almost like a snow like frosting on my glass and rocks one day. Couldnt figure out what it was it didnt kill any thing because i did my best to do water changes untill i got rid of most of it over time. after i stopped the wife from spraying that **** in the room and on the carpet i never saw the white snow life **** again.

Now im not saying this "snow" was from the spray but it stopped when i didnt spray anything in the air near it anymore. I only had two clowns during that time and two mollies accumulated into the salt tank.

Even if this was the case the worst thing you could do is freak out and make abrupt changes all at once. take a step back be sure to not have and aresole **** in the air. Do your weekly water change clean the glass and keep your eyes on the NO3.
