Help! What Kind of Worm is This?!

I just picked up some bargain bin frags & they’re pretty dirty, so I’m about to dip them. I’d dip them regardless but there’s going to be a little scrubbing involved here too. However, I just noticed this worm & I haven’t seen anything like it before. I’m assuming it’s not a good one but before I kill it, I want to be sure. It’s tube is much larger than a normal little tube worm and it’s hard and segmented which gives it the look of a bristle worm. I’ve been letting the bag float to see if anything emerges from it and all I can see are two antenna so far.

If it is a Vermetid snail, it’s much larger than any of the others I’ve ever seen. I’ve been looking for other pictures like it. I think I’m removing it regardless!

There are very large vermetid snail species. Not as painful as the small thin ones.

No, and not as toxic as they are given a rep for. Unless you have tons of them. Carbon works.

I literally had no idea until just now that there were multiple types of Vermetid worms… I thought they were just the little pointy ones! Thank you so much, @Mibu this is definitely what this guy is and his time is about to come to an end.

I love Bumblebee snails! I have them in all my tanks except the one where this frag is going. Of course. But I’ll move some over if needed.
