help! what now?

For the copper + metroplex, the copper will need run for 30 days... and the metro for 14. The dosage needed for metro is two scoops per 10 gallons, dosed every 48 hours.

I know I just gave you a ton of info to look through... just take things one step at a time and ask questions as you go and we can try to help you along!

This^^^ is exactly what I would recommend for treatment in this situation.

It’s tough to say for sure, I’m thinking velvet... but you could treat for both just in case.

The scooter will need CP (chloroquine phosphate) which will treat both velvet and brook anyway. You don’t have any fish that are sensitive to it, so you could treat them all...

BUT, it’s not going to be easy to get quickly.. if you don’t already have it on hand :/

So, I think I would focus on the clown for now. Get maybe a 10-20g tank, powerhead, heater, and ammonia alert badge and move him over. You can use a sponge seeded with biospira to help combat ammonia. You’ll also need copper and metroplex.

Meanwhile, see if you can track down some CP. If you have a vet willing to write you a prescription, you can order it from diamondback drugs (it’s been verified 99%+ purity). Otherwise, national fish pharm recently started offering CP as well.

I agree the body looks like velvet but the head looks like brook. Treat your remaining fish as @ngoodermuth recommended and the fallow period in your DT is going to be 6 weeks (covers brook and velvet). This is why QT these days is so crucial.

How are your fish? That is definitely velvet.. velvet attacks fast.. like I hope your treating now.. if you wait.. velvet will take the lives of everything in your tank

I guess since I don’t have a QT tank I’m going to wait this out and see what happens. Hoping my Blennies don’t die.

The issue here is not that your blenny could catch it and die. The issue here is that you are trying to eradicate the disease from your display tank. These particular diseases need a live fish host to live, and you could keep the disease in the tank indefinitely if the tank does not run fallow. This sets you up for basically any fish you add in the future getting sick.

****kkkkk idk what to do

A likely sign of velvet. While there are velvet specific treatments, when it comes to clowns, I have great luck with PraziPro.
Temperature of about 78 degrees is ideal for clowns as is ph of 7.8-8.0 and moderate water flow

Sorry for your losses. These R2R folks are steering you down the right road as they hav me and many others.
Having had velvet ravage my tank I can tell you that it’s not IF it will wipe you out it’s HOW quick. I managed to save 4 fish from the initial outbreak and they died, one by one in QT. Sad day indeed. I acted quick after the first two died but not quick enough. About 2 days and it was over.
Two things I learned: be decisive and start treatment and to have ALL required meds on hand in the future.

ok so I have been doing a lot of research and read many post about velvet and everything says its fast acting but my fish had this disease (Whatever it is) for almost a month.
