I've ordered from aquariumdepot before and have had no issues. I received next day air shipping for spending over $200 this time, they shipped out Thursday, with expected delivery of Friday afternoon.

I received notice from UPS that the plane had a mechanical breakdown in Salt Lake City, Utah and would delay the delivery until the next business day (Monday).
The package will remain on the plane during this time. Temps have reached 90* there Friday and Saturday (today). I am not confident of the probability of things surviving 5 days in plastic bags, especially with temp swings from 60*-90*

I have contacted UPS and they've told me that any claim filed will refund the sender, and they will be responsible for refunding me.

So I contacted aquarium depot and said I am not comfortable risking poisoning my tank with possibly dead product which they are insisting I still attempt to acclimate and put in my tank. They've also said they will NOT refund my order or accept a returned package. Not only that but they are now telling me they are 100% out of everything I ordered, so a reship will not happen either.

What should I do? Risk putting the order in my tank? Have any of you received a very delayed order and still had luck with things? I'm at a loss here, any help or advice would be appreciated.

Can you set up a at tank, quickly? Even a 10g from petco with an hob and a heater would do. Oh, and get a top. Depending on what you ordered a 10g is easy to jump out of.

I could, even though that's more money that I didnt plan on spending. I do have a couple heaters laying around, and a large hob protein skimmer as well. Do you reccomend a hob mechanical filter?

More like...I have contacted UPS and they've told me that the Manager I really needed to talk to was ON BREAK and UPS put me on hold for 2hrs. When in reality the Manager wasnt on break but flirting with Rebecca in Accounting his whole shift.

UPS only interacts with QR LABELS on cardboard boxes and NOT actual living breathing human beings

What are we talking here? Fish? Corals? Inverts?

Believe it or not, I did get through to someone within 5 minutes. I was surprised. But they seemed just as clueless as I did about the package.

A large algae clean up crew
Additional crabs and snails
Sand conch
Condy anemone
Flower anemone
Montipora
Zoas
Cluster dusters
Acropora
Leptastrea
Sponge
Candy cane coral
Gorgonian

Most of that stuff should be fine. These critters are tougher than we give them credit for.

Just don’t put any of the bagged water in your tank. Acclimate them according to their instructions and take photos.

I buy from them a lot too and they have always handled any issues.

I'd file a dispute on the charge on my credit card, since the shipping wasn't honoured. No matter if it wasn't their fault they do need to be responsible for it.
That's a good idea. I will give them one more chance to offer a refund once things finally arrive since reshipment isnt possible.

I never use any water that purchased stuff comes in.
I'm heading down to buy a quarantine tank setup now. Do you think that everything listed will be okay to put in one together? The only thing I'm really unsure of is the anemones.

The anemones are the most likely to be stressed or dead. Everything else should be ok.

Just use a plastic tote. Check the base for PP1, 2,4 5 with the triangle arrows. Food grade should be safe.

No need to go buy a new glass tank.

Too late [emoji28] already bought a new 20 gal long breeder tank to use for temporary quarantine. I'll just turn it into a shallow nano after, so I went ahead and bought some sand, live rock, tank stand, hob fluval filter, and a small wavemaker! I'll also be running a hob protein skimmer I have already.

I guess it's time to start a build thread!

Lol, not all going at once...
