I just added fish to my new 125 gallon tank and all are fine except the one fish. I think it has flukes. It is striking up against the rocks and looks like 1 gill is a little irritated. How can I treat the tank quickly?? All other fish seem fine.

Yes problem I have is catching himI second the freshwater dip in a dark bucket, look for small "sesame seeds" at the bottom afterward. This would confirm flukes.
If not, I'd assume ich or velvet, though I don't see it definitively in the photos.

Do you think treating the tank without validation would be ok?Yes problem I have is catching him![]()
2 questions?? Can I just treat the tank if I suspect flukes without validation with prizapro? Also if he has it will the healthy fish get it too??? My tank is good quality with no issues...they are all eating and getting along with the exception of my one clown fish has a tail and body nip but seem to be getting along nowCan we have a picture I can tell exactly what it is with one
If you’re sure it’s flukes yes, and yes you’d need to treat all fish.2 questions?? Can I just treat the tank if I suspect flukes without validation with prizapro? Well according to what I read it points to flukes. It's an angel fish so it's more susceptible apparently and it also has a lightly pale upper lip....its still eat and acting normal except for the occasional flicking off the rocks. If you’re sure it’s flukes yes, and yes you’d need to treat all fish.

If you’re wrong or it’s multiple ailments, this could stress out the fish and worsen it.Well according to what I read it points to flukes. It's only one fish really and I can't even really see anything on the fish except a little irritation at the gill. He likes to hide during the daylight hours and comes out when the moonlight is on. Also I didn't see him flicking since earlier yesterday. I am gonna watch him to see what is going on before treatment which will be here tomorrow. Thanks. I am not sure what else I can do since he is already in my rock filled tank! He is definitely not in distress at the moment or struggling to breath however I wouldn't want it to get to that point either. What would you do. I have 100 lbs of live rock in that tank...ripping the tank apart will obviously stress all the other perfectly healthy fish. I was also gonna put some dr Tim's first aid in there to see if that helps before I treat any meds.If you’re wrong or it’s multiple ailments, this could stress out the fish and worsen it.
