I came back to my tank last night and saw my mushroom doing this. It looked crazy. Later last night it went back to normal. Crazy! Does anyone know what it was doing?

The last pic is what it normally looks like.
Thanks for you help!

I see it’s guts and sweeper tentacles but following along for the answer.

Thanks, I always thought that mushrooms were pretty chilled.

I had a Rhodactis mushroom that killed off a section of a large brain coral. Ever since then I try to keep them separated from lps corals.
It's has something to do with the chemicals that lps corals secrete that mushrooms don't like. As you can see the filaments can reach a good distance.

I have a king Julius rhodactis that I have yet to see it use a sweeper. I wonder if some species don’t have them??
Anyone?
