it was fine and beautiful last night, it was opened up hanging 1-2" over the shell last night like it always is. tonight it looks like this.. iv had it about 8 months

Last time I had a maxima gape like that it died. Tank parameters all good? It look really recessed.

Have you changed anything lighting and flow wise? Do you see any pyramid snails in there?

I’m sorry but I have don’t know if that clam will fare well, mantle is really recessed.

It is dead Derasa. The major water measurement parameters are fine so this did not kill it. I wonder what kill the clam? It does have some shell growth so it cannot not be that bad off before.

I inspected it thoroughly and found no pyramid snails or any worms on it . It was legit been growing awesome and has been wide open every day since iv had it . Litteraly over night it looked like this...

Do you have a fish that has been picking at it? I've wanted a clam and when doing research I saw that some fish will out of know where start to eat them.
