HELP! What's Wrong with my Rainbow Paly?

i got this true rainbow paly in a shipment a couple of weeks ago. when i got it it had amazing colour, but wouldnt open all the way on one side, and looked "pinched". today i was taking pictures of the tank and noticed that some white is forming on it :( but im new to saltwater stuff and am still learning...

Picture from Today
any clue what this could be? and how i should go about treating it?
(sorry for the pic, but it was the best i could get)

Before
this is a pic from the day after i received this polyp. notice the white mark that looks a bit "pinched" at 6 o'clock on the rainbow polyp (if looking at it like a clock...lol)

well, the fact that its a single polyp.......the odds of its survival are not in your favor. single polyps don't have a good survival rate IMO.

the pic is kinda blurry is it white spots??? If so then zoa pox. But to me the pic looks like it's missing skirt on the white part so something is nipping it. Check for nudis and zoa spiders.

there's no zoa spiders, ive searched every frag and i dipped them as well.

what about if i put this polyp with some others? at least closer to them?

im sorry for the pic, but ill try to explian. as i said, it looked "pinched", then from there the outer skin has turned white where the skirt should be where it was pinched...ill try to get some better pics when i get home.

the thing is, is that it's the only polyp in the tank exibiting any signs of sickness...everything else is doing great. even the other polyps that were on the frag plug with this one when they arrived.

should i try an iodine dip on it?

i wouldnt say it's missing its skirt actually...
you can see that it's almost folded over where the white area is...it looks like some tissue has died...or it got damaged in shipping (which wouldnt suprise me with how they were packaged) and needs to regrow...or if it is something else.

would any type of dip help it?

should i try to physically open it up? maybe something is blocking it from opening

leave it be, give it good flow, it looks like the skirt is retracted, it will likely be fine in a few days.

Yeah leave it alone. The more you bother it the more stressed and less survival. Zoa's sometimes take a little to adjust. I have zoas that don't open for a month and they open back up.

ok :) thanks for the advice.

i have 2 oxide red polyps that i havent glued to anything, maybe ill glue them near the rainbow polyp for some moral support.lol
