Did a 30% water change on Saturday. I only tested Alk, Calcium and Magnesium using the Red Sea test Kit. Heading to the store now to check the rest. Will update.

Salinity 1.026
Alk 8.8
Calcium 400
Magnesium 1300

Any ideas on what could be causing it?

How long have you had the coral and what lighting is it under? Do you supplement alk and calcium?

I’ve had it about a month. Not great lighting, a wavepoint. But it’s under the center of the light. And I have another Monti that is doing fine.

Other parameters
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 70
Phosphates .14

I’m getting on a plane and can’t do another water change. Is this coral going make it? Won’t be back for 16 days. [emoji21][emoji21]

how do you suppliment your alk and calcium? Do you dose? rely on water changes?

Looks like a superman montipora. They like strong light and flow and it look really dim in the pic. If your light is what I googled then its not suitable for sps 8 or 16 watts? You cant keep any corals properly without a good light source. Yours looks like the blue base has faded a lot. Does you alk temp and sg stay stable?

Sorry. Just saw this. I think it’s definitely the lighting. I have the 18 watt. Looking to upgrade when I get back, but it may be too late for my monti. Alk is stable, just constant Nitrate and Phosphate issues.

How do you get such high nutrients?
rodi?
Bioload?
Whats your export method?
