Had it just over a month, its been fully extending and doing great, but this past few days maybe 4 days it has been less extending and no idea why? I did a 20 % water change and it helped a little but now its gone back to this.

How are your parameters? Have you fed the coral directly?

Mine do that occasionally for a day or two. As long as its opening you should be ok. For a month it is still settling in and getting used to its environment.
Thanks. Yeah it is open a bit more now but not fully still. Moved the powerhead slightly and it seems better

I'll bet the peps are not leaving it alone. Mine was doing this more and more. I did water changes and everything. Then one day just happened to catch some movement and those sneaky shrimp were attacking it. when they saw me they walked away as if they werent doing it.

I have been watching them like a hawk. They legit leave it alone.

+1 would almost guarantee that the peppermint shrimp are picking at it. IMHO peppermint shrimp belong in your fuge and not in DT.

Peppermint shrimp are great at taking out aptasia.... But, if there isnt any, sometimes they find other things to mess with. Maybe not all of them. But I watched a couple that I had in my system shredding a healthy head of frogspawn one night. Noticed some of my frogspawn was looing less full for a few days, couldnt figure out why for the life of me. Just happened to see it as the lights were ramping down for the night. Granted, at the moment they were messing with it the frogspawn was retracted so far into its skeleton that you could see the skeletal ribs on the edges. It wasnt open at all. But your PS mileage may vary!

IMHO the torch you have looks more upset about flow, light and/or water parameters though.
