I have a order coming in Tuesday for a small maxima clam and porites frag with Bisma worms. My question is will my arrow crab or other hermits go after them? I have an arrow crab 4 small blue leg hermits and a scarlet hermit. I feed the tank often and make sure they always get some. I know crabs are opportunistic but what is they likely hood they would go after it? please let me know what you guys think.

Maybe maybe not, it depends on the individuals but as you know they are very opportunistic

I had a beautiful one in my S650 for a year or so, and then came down one morning before the lights came on to see it being ‘devoured’ by hermits. It was quite gruesome actually

"In nature, the Arrow crab is a predator, hunting, and feeding on small crustaceans, aquatic worms, and slow-moving fish."

Wouldn't trust the arrow with the bisma worms at all.

These mentioned do not necessarily hunt down clam but act as scavengers and if distressed, can or may invite themselves in for leftovers.
Arrow will always go after worms primarily.

I like when people do research after they buy things

Nope, from the research I did I decided to buy. Im posting here to see if any one has kept both in a tank and has had sucess or not and guess what...so far everything people are posting are things I already know because of PRIOR research. Have fun making condecending posts.✌️

It's not a condescending post it's a fact that you should have asked the question before you bought it... so if everyone on here says they cannot be put together what are you going to do? It's called doing all the research before buying..
