image.jpg My featherduster worm has two prongs at his ouch that were wounded and broken after my flame scallop rammed him. Will he live and what can i do to help him?

No expert on these but it still opens and retracts and it does not drop the feathered part it should be fine. Ime these large feather worms dont last long in the aquarium and when they do spot feeding or heavy broadcast feeding of phyto or coral foods is a must.

It will be fine. And in my experience these feather dusters last a long time. I have some that are 10+ years in the tank. Keeping the smaller colored ones has been more challenging - lasting only a year at most.

The real challenge is finding unusual Coco Worms to keep my wife happy.

We have a coco worm that recently dropped a head. Still don’t know why, but the new head is growing fast, already half the size of the full one and only been a couple of weeks. We broadcast feed freeze dried phyto and frozen foods for worms

The key is to not have fish that pick at the feathery head.

They will also shed their crowns, so if that happens just leave it alone. Will grow a new one.
