Help with a Denitrator

I am about to set up a new tank which will eventually be a 34 gal reef tank. I bought the 34 gal aqua euro setup but I have never used a denitrator before. can someone please explain how to set mine up. it looks as if the water is pulled in from the bottom and there is a valve on the top but I'm not sure how it works. here is a picture of the exact one that I will be using. Thanks!!

Yup, water in the bottom, returns out the top, you should set it up for 3-4 drips per second at the start. You have the pump for it also?
