Help with a Jason Fox JOL piece over growing frag plug

ok, so now what. It's a on a large frag plug and going over the side and just about completely covering the plug. Sitting in the bottom sand bed of my DT.

Will it go under the plug or spread over the sand? I was thinking I should maybe place it on a small piece of rock, but I'd like to be able to frag a few pieces for trade. Goal #1 is to have a beautiful piece of coral, but I'd like to have the option to frag a piece if needed.

What do I do?

Lol if you want to have the option to frag a piece if needed, then just place over a couple of new disks. Once it grows over them, you can cut the disks out
